Let me do for you what I have done for many busy professionals with photographic interests and passions.  Allow me to spend quality one on one time with you to speed you along the learning curve.  By concentrating on specifically what you want and need to learn you will get up and running faster than you might have thought possible.  Let me reduce your confusion and frustration, it’s supposed to be fun, remember?

My background is that of a fine art painter turned photographer who can teach you how to properly take and process an image.  I will help you produce a compelling piece of photographic art you will display with pride.  You will learn by watching me work on your images and  then you yourself incorporating my techniques while I am at your side to make this process as painless and fun as possible.

If  your camera gear is a mystery to you I can help you learn what all the buttons are for and when and why you would use them.  The camera is a problem solving tool, not a problem.

If you are new to digital processing I can, in common English, walk you thru downloading images and how to organize of them inside your computer.  I can explain your options of color management and you will decide how tight you want your controls to be.

Finally I will make you confident you can shoot a proper image that maximizes your chances of a stunning digital print.  Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements or any tool is only as good as the person using it.  You will get comfortable doing basic editing and be aware of more advanced techniques.

I am not a computer tech, I am an artitst who learned how to use technology to create beautiful photos that have been in National Parks, Books, Calendars and Fine Art Collections across the country.  I can show you what and how I do what I do and if your question is outside my personal usage I have access to some amazing resources that will get you answers quicker than you would on your own.

My rate is $75 an hour with a minimum of two hours.  Many people get what they need in two to three sessions of two to five hours spread out over a couple weeks.  We can do the teaching session over the internet if this is more convenient so you never leave the comfort of your own home.  This method allows me to teach to people many states away.
